During the height of the pandemic we were encouraged to think creatively to help our social team come up with content. At the time there was the CDC recommendation to wash your hands for at least sixty seconds. The suggested humming a favorite tune to keep the time. After looking into the lyrics to the Alabama Fight Song I realized it was a perfect song to use for this layout. I also created a gif to be used to go along with the hand washing how-to.
Along with that graphic I also created content for our COVID safety campaign #StillTideTogether. I organized social content as well as print materials to be distributed across campus.
The image of a heart over Denny Chimes was used as the start of our COVID social campaign. We were asked to think of different ideas to spread cheer to students studying from home. I got in tough with current UA students who were finishing the semester at home, and stitched together the message below.
I also created this social post for National Nurses day for our social team. I wanted to make sure we highlighted these local heros, and the above photo was of one of our own students in the nursing lab. Below I created a digital billboard to celebrate more heros, those who volunteered to make and distribute face masks and shields around the Tuscaloosa community.
For a reference to how far 6 feet was, I featured our football mascot Big Al with his arms outstretched. This sign was used across different platforms but the most use was in UA facilities on campus, including COVID testing centers.
